This forming machine can produce Z-type purlins and is also compatible with C-type purlins. The produced steel purlins are made of hot-rolled steel sheet by cold bending, are lightweight, and suitable for roofing purlin characteristics. Z-type purlins: With a Z-shaped cross-section, thin walls, light weight, excellent cross-sectional performance, and high strength, they can be used not only for roofing but also for wall structural support and floor beams, and are a commonly used purlin type in steel structure buildings.
Produces purlins of different sizes without changing rollers/shims; quick switching between 60-250mm sizes within one minute, with no size limitation within this range, saving raw materials.
Equipped with a pre-cutting system (with optional post-cutting); no need to change tools for different sizes; punches can be made at any position on the purlin web and flanges; supports embossing and logo engraving.

Processing length tolerance ±0.5mm; compatible with Q235 yield strength raw materials; stable finished product quality.
Core parameters: Web processing width 100-600mm, flange 10mm, inspection thickness 0.5mm; processing sheet metal 1.5-3mm color-coated sheet (PPGI) and galvanized sheet (GI); production speed approximately 15m/min.

Cold bending forming main unit: 11-15 roll stations, rolls are GCR15 chrome-plated steel (HRC58-62°), main shaft is 80mm solid 45# steel, driven by an 18.5kw Shanghai electric motor.
Cutting and punching device: Cutters/dies are Cr12 treated steel (HRC58-62°), hydraulic station motor 5.5KW, using qualified column-type cutting.
PLC control cabinet: Delta PLC + Omron encoder, touch screen operation, length error ±2mm, supports Chinese and English, 380V/50HZ three-phase (customizable).
Hydraulic pump station: 46# hydraulic oil, Huade solenoid valves, 5.5kw motor, fan cooling.
Production support platform: Non-powered type, length 2m.
Uncoiling machine → Forming mandrel → Hydraulic system → Automatic control system → Step-by-step forming mechanism → Automatic shearing mechanism → Finished product receiving table. Core processes include hydraulic punching and hydraulic cutting.
Both are steel structure purlins, but their core differences lie in seven aspects. Z-type purlins are more advantageous in large-span, high-slope roof applications:
C-type purlins have a 90° angle and are used for building walls and floor beams; Z-type purlins have an angle <90°, offering greater flexibility and are used for roof and wall support, suitable for high-slope roofs.
Z-type purlins can be continuously overlapped, suitable for large-span metal buildings, while C-type purlins cannot be overlapped.
Z-type purlins have higher strength and can support heavy structures, suitable for agricultural and industrial buildings, but have higher installation requirements; C-type purlins have slightly lower strength but are easier to install.
The greater the roof slope, the higher the utilization rate of the vertical bending section modulus of Z-type purlins, while C-type purlins do not have this characteristic.
