What are the steps of constructing a metal roofing?

So how many steps are there in the construction of a metal roofing?

Roughly they are five steps:

First, we need to do a foundation treatment. Usually, we need to clean up the  surface. Then fill the cracks if there are. Deal with the level and then check the strength and so on.

Second, build up framework of the roofing. Metal roof needs frame support. It is necessary to determine the position, size and quantity of the framework according to the design requirements.

Third, install metal roof sheet. Metal roofing sheets are usually very large, which needs to be carried to the designated position by using crane or manually.

Forth, do seam treatment. Seams between roofing sheets need to be treated to ensure the sealing of the roof. Common methods for treating joints include using sealants, lap joints, welding, and similar techniques.

Fifth, do waterproof treatment. Waterproof treatment is needed to prevent rainwater leakage. Usually we can paint waterproof coating on metal roofing sheet, install water guiding system, and install waterproof liner and other ways.
